Monster Musume takes place basically now they don’t give an exact date but it’s definitely modern day. So what is it about Monster Musume that bring me in? Let’s start with the manga’s story and work our way through and maybe we’ll find out. Usually I’m not to big a fan of ecchi stuff I either don’t find the characters appealing through their personality and development, or the ecchi moments are very off putting in how they are used. Monster Musume is a fairly popular series among people I first heard of the series back when it really exploding the internet, around the time when the anime was just starting, and I thought I’d give it a try. Idiotic reason aside, Monster Musume is a Ecchi Seinen series from Mangaka Inui Takemaru the manga was serialized in Comic Ryu magazine back in 2012 and since then has been ongoing, and has been adapted into an animated series as well. My only excuse is that it has monsters, or rather monster girls, and monsters are generally seen around this time of the month. Monster Musume is by no means a horror manga so some may be wondering why I decided to review this in October. Sure it’s not really suspenseful and it’s mature in a different sense of the word, but it’s got monsters… so that counts for something right? Alright so I know that this manga is not a horror manga it’s not even remotely scary.
